be(e) a swarm

PROJECT BY — Doris Cavar, Marina Mangiat, Alessandro Mattiuzzo, Biagio Pandolfi, Roberto Rabito, Lorenzo Tomassetti, Tommaso Tronchin

DONE AT — IUAV – University of Venice

YEAR — 2014

With this project we want to question how words, gain a different meaning through virtuality by being associated to their written and spoken aspect.
We took our inspiration from a George Eliot’s quote “our words have wings, but fly not where we would”. Therefore in our project the words behave like bees: they buzz, moving randomly within the projected space, reacting at the presence of the user and at its movements. When the user stands still, they stop buzzing and compose the quote.
